My Heart is Perfect

Category: Heart, Treatment, Update

It has been awhile since I’ve posted an update here. I’ve been very careful to keep my mind off my problems. You’ll understand why I’d do that after reading this…
Trip to the ER
On Tuesday, January 12th I was having crazy vitals. My pulse was jumping up and down by 40bpm just by standing up and [...]

Answers from Dr. Jay Lee’s Nurse

Category: Heart, Update

I submitted my questions I had for my cardiologist on Friday. They got back to me just now:
I’m cleared to have caffeine. I’m cleared to have spicy food. She didn’t say anything about salty food… and I guess we both forgot. Oops. My kidneys should be OK with the midodrine. And finally, taking baby aspirin is a good idea.

Doing Alright

Category: Heart, Update

I didn’t post anything here yesterday.
I’m still getting used to the Midodrine. The side-effects aren’t as intense as they were at first and I’m figuring out the best ways to handle how I feel.
My chest is still tight. It has been since the Tilt Table Test.

Although every time the doctors asked me if I used drugs I wish [...]

Instead of being an Android I am going to try being a Jedi

Category: Heart, Treatment

By Android I mean have an implanted computer and by Jedi I mean taking Midodrine.
Dr. David Pan called me this morning and essential apologized for haphazardly suggesting that I might need a pacemaker. He said that he spoke with colleagues of his regarding my case and they came to a consensus where I could avoid [...]

Attempt at exhaustively describing my heart’s history…

Category: Heart, History

Well I suppose the first entry should cover anything that happened prior to right now. I will certainly miss some details but I’ll try to remember as much as possible.
On March 7th 2009 I had my first vasovagal episode which induced syncope (Sync-O-Pea). Basically my brain sent wrong signals to my body causing me to [...]
